Our
processing and industrialization of the balsa wood is distributed in
the following areas:.
- Green wood reception
- Kiln dried
- Process plant
- Panel sizing and Gluing
- Packing
- Loading
Green wood reception.- This process begins from the arrival of the truck to the plant, it is discharged and it is classified to be armed in cars and later on it'll be dried.
Drying.-
The Kiln drying is an unitary operation that consist on the
extraction of the excess of water retained in the wood by means of
heat in state of vapor, generated by the boiler.
The same one that is irradiated with forced air by
fans trough the batteries of pipes that are inside the Kiln In this
way the wood loses humidity without deteriorating, until
obtaining a low humidity of around 10%.
Production
area.- This process begins from the transfer of the dry balsa wood form the stock area to the different machines where it is surfaced, cut, squared, etc and then qualifeied and classified in its respective areas.
The machining process is not a contamination agent,
because the generated waste istranported by means of a system of
efficient aspiration, which allows us to breathe a clean air and all
the waste is used in the boiler to produce vapor for the kilns.
Gluing
area.- Once classified the balsa wood it's moved from its
respective areas to the sizing table saw, where the panle is sized
according to its thickness.
Then, once a block is completed it's glued and
pressed until bonded.
Packing area.- Prior
to packing, we take several samples of humidity, recheck any quality
problem in order to assure a perfect product to our clients.
The balsa wood sheets are packed in recycled
cardboard boxes.
Loading
area.- Our means of transportations are: maritime
andy by air, we use containers of 20' any 40', and also in bundles
or boxes.
